OM SOL
Sol er et kunstnerdrevet udstillingssted for samtidskunst beliggende på den gamle industrihavn i Nexø på Bornholm. I samarbejde med kunstnere og kuratorer fra både ind- og udland ønsker Sol at udfordre etablerede udstillingsformater og samtidig styrke interessen for samtidskunst i det lokale miljø. Sol åbnede i foråret 2019 og drives af foreningen Sol Nexø, med billedkunstner Sofie Amalie Andersen i spidsen&#38;nbsp;som kunstnerisk leder.Vinder af BKFs pris for bedste kunstnerdrevne udstillingssted i 2021

UDSTILLINGSPROGRAM 2025: METANOIAMed det oldgræske ord 'metanoia' – forstået som udtryk for en fundamental sindsomvendelse – som inspiration for årets program, sætter vi i løbet af 2025 en række forskellige kunstneriske projekter, diskurser, ideer og perspektiver op mod hinanden, og forsøger at skabe både nye sammenhænge og nye modsætningsforhold.'Metanoia' begrebet strækker sig over et kompleks, der lægger sig tæt op af årets program: frygten og fascinationen for død, arternes udryddelse, klodens begrænsninger og klimaets nærvedstående kollaps&#38;nbsp;– men også historier om liv og genoplivning, jordiske og kosmologiske systemer, tidens gang og dens spekulative dimensioner.Årets program indeholder titeludstillingen med de tre danske kunstnere Silas Inoue, Mette Rasmussen og Nichy Sparre-Ulrich og de tre portugisiske kunstnere Adriana João, Di Lança Branco og Bruno Silva – som senere på året også vil blive vist på udstillingsstedet SALTO i Lissabon. Derudover vil vi præsentere et performanceprogram til Folkemødet, en soloudstilling med Tore Hallas og en trio-udstilling med Kirsten Ortwed, Nina Beier og Simon Dybbroe Møller. I løbet af året arrangerer vi artist talks, koncerter, omvisninger og filmvisninger i samarbejde med nogle af øens andre kulturinstitutioner. Årets program kurateres af SOLs kunstneriske leder, Sofie Amalie Andersen, i samarbejde med kurator David Revés, der også er co-director for udstillingsstedet SALTO i Lissabon. Programmet er støttet af Statens Kunstfond, Ny Carlsberg Fondet, Det Obelske Familiefond og Bornholms Regionskommune.
