Silas Inoue
https://www.silasinoue.com/

Silas Inoue (b. 1981, DK) works with a wide array of themes related to the fast-paced life of postmodernity, such as globalization, tourism, digitalization, economy, and consumption. Inoue has lived in both Japan and Denmark. This mixed heritage is reflected in his art, though it most often appears as a subtle sense of manifold belongings. His work touches on different kinds of spirituality and draws inspiration from nature. This diverse field of interests is visualized in pictorial, sculptural, and performative works. Inoue transforms prevailing values and tendencies into abstraction and symbolism.

Sofie Amalie Andersen
https://sofieamalieandersen.com/

Sofie Amalie Andersen (1989, DK) works with a broad range of materials and mediums – from sculpture and installation to text, printed matter and film. Her composite and contrasting works reflect her own dubious questions regarding reality. Often merging traditional artistic techniques with poetry and industrial DIY aesthetics, she seeks to provoke an increased awareness of those interlaced material, emotional and linguistic structures that surround us. In her work she stresses moments of fragility, tension and ambiguity, which, in her view, are key concepts of life itself. Sofie Amalie Andersen is also director of the exhibition space SOL in Nexø (DK), from where she has been curating and organising exhibitions for a number of international artists since 2019.

Mette Rasmussen
https://arthubcopenhagen.net/profile/mette-rasmussen/

Mette Rasmussen (b. 1993, DK) graduated from the Funen Academy of Fine Arts in 2020. Her practice is based in graphics, sculpture, carving and text. Nordic folklore and related natural creatures and phenomena such as trolls, goblins and elves form a thematic and aesthetic focal point for her works in an investigation of the unconscious and the longing. The artist is preoccupied with the narrative as a form, and based on a non-linear understanding of history, she draws tangled threads through time and place in a fantasy of a pagan and magical past in a relationship with an alienated present.

Nicky Sparre-Ulrich
https://www.idoart.dk/kalender/nicky-sparre-ulrich-vanishing-act

Nicky Sparre-Ulrich (b. 1986) works in mediums such as painting and mixed media. In the exhibited artworks, the viewer looks through a metal grid into sharp flashes of light from where it is difficult to position yourself. It makes us ask ourselves; on which side of the metal bars are we situated?
